Pets and Your Community

Every pet owner has a responsibility for his own pet and a responsibility to his neighbour.

Please DO

• Help keep our parks free of pet pollution. Clean up after your dog in parks and on any public property.
• Buy a dog license annually and attach it to the pet's collar.
• Obtain a good book on pet care.
• Have your dog or cat spayed or neutered.
  • Many thousands of dogs and cats are euthanized every year because there are no homes for them.

Please DO NOT

• Let your pet use private property for a toilet.
• Let your dog run loose. It is illegal and dangerous.
• Let your pet be a nuisance to others, with noise or destruction.
• Leave your pet in a hot closed car.
• Disturb wild birds or free animals in their natural areas.
